John D. Dedman
This website will always and forever be dedicated to the Memory of the Greatest Winslow Eskimo, John D. Dedman.
John D Dedman created and Rose Beyke and Cary Bailey now maintain this website to bring to you history, news and photos of the past Winslow High School Eskimos. Winslow High School closed its doors in 1974.
Over 40 years ago our county’s small towns closed their schools and consolidated into Pike Central High School. Pike Central’s first graduating class was in 1975.
Many PC graduates and students come from parents, grandparents, aunts & uncles, brothers & sisters of Winslow Alumni. We might touch on them from time to time.
The old website became no longer available for us to use due to it’s platform becoming obsolete. So we had to move the information to a new place and a new format in 2014.
We never want to forget the glory days before class basketball was forced on us in 1997. Remember the excitement of a small town filling a gym on a Friday night with passionate fans screaming for a victory and a chance for a state championship? It was Hoosier Hysteria at it’s finest.
Rose’s e-mail is: rosebeyke@gmail.com Rose went to school at WHS until her Freshman year when the schools consolidated into Pike Central. She joined the efforts to provide some new changes to this website. She and Cary are seeing that it is maintained and updated after John Dedman has passed.
Cary Bailey
Cary’s e-mail is: ka9lmz@gmail.com Cary will help in having his eyes and ears available to bring more information to the website. Cary maintains the Facebook pages.
Anyone with photos, info or related stuff from WHS can submit it to Rose or Cary and rest assured they will get the info out for all alumni to see.
We now have two ways to our website. You can use either of the 3 to get there:
