James Russell Klipsch, 87, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017. He was born November 12, 1929, in Winslow, IN, to the late John O. and Eva (Hardin) Klipsch.
He was a 1949 graduate of Winslow High School and worked 37 years at Overhead Door Company in Evansville. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Carpenter’s Local 90, both of Evansville. James and his wife, Mary Kay, have been happily married for 66 years. He enjoyed traveling, especially to visit family.
James was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Keith Klipsch.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Kay (Potter) Klipsch; children, John P. (Connie) Klipsch, Dana J. (Lillian) Klipsch, Teresa J. Sharp, Theodore P. (Monique) Klipsch, and Andrew T. (Melanie) Klipsch; son-in-law, Joe Cowherd; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Barbara (George) Hollon.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 216 SE Third Street, officiated by Dr. Todd Giles. Friends may visit Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Alexander Funeral Home – East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue.
