James L. Quiggins

James L. Quiggins, born May 30, 1927 to Clark Quiggins and Grace Nance Johnson and living in Ft. Branch, IN at the time of his death, passed away in the Deaconess hospital in Evansville.
He was a graduate of Winslow High School, Class of 1944. He was in the Merchant Marines in WW 2.
He was a foreman for Old Ben Coal Company, also a Civil Engineer that started several large projects and would see them through the finish, ex: a dam in Georgia, numerous housing projects, and the basketball arena at the university in Bowling Green, KY.
He is survived by his wife Verturia Rae (Erwin) Quiggins, his daughters, Brenda (Dave) Buehler, Beverly (Stephen) Sievers and Deborah (Michael) Murphy. He has 6 grandchildren and multiple great grandchildren.
He is buried at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Winslow, IN. Services were at the Curtis Funeral Home, Winslow, IN.
