Joe R. Warner, 66, of Winslow, IN died Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at Amber Manor Care Center in Petersburg, IN.
He was born February 26, 1940. Joe attended Winslow High School with the Class of 1959. He served in the Navy during the Cuban Crisis. He was a retired boilmaker. He married Effie Mae Jones and she survives.
Surviving besides his wife, Effie, are two daughters, Shelia Teague and Teresa Corlett, both of Petersburg, IN; four sons, Tim Warner of Evansville, Brian Warner and John Warner, both of Winslow and Joe Warner of Petersburg; a sister, Patty Drew of Petersburg; a brother, Robert “Billy Bob” Warner of Silvi, IL; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A step-daughter, April Dawn Jones; one grandchild, Miranda Jo Warner, one great-grandchild, Aubery Jo Warner, one brother, Jim Warner, and one sister, Dixie Persinger, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 24, 2007 at Curtis Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Hughes officiating. Burial was in Williams Cemetery in Pike County.
