Manager With TVA For Over Thirty Years
Forrest Rexford Bugher Jr. died on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005.
He was born Feb. 1, 1934, and was the son of the late Forrest Rexford Bugher, Sr. He was retired from TVA after 31 years of service as a manager in the office of power. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from the Tennessee National Guard as a master sergeant.
He was a founding member of Christ United Methodist Church, a member of the BYKOTA Sunday School Class and was a teacher and a past president of the class. He was a past president of the Joy Group and a former computer class teacher of the LIFE Group. He was a longtime member of the church choir, and he had served as choir director at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
He was a very active Freemason and was a Past Patron of Signal Mountain Chapter OES 453, and a past master of Signal Mountain Lodge 758. He was a plural member of Brainerd Lodge 736, where he served as secretary. He was a Scottish Rite Mason, a member of Alhambra Shrine and a member of the National Sojourners. Forrest Bugher was a member of the Chattanooga Choo-Choo Chorus for 31 years.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Ford Bugher; mother, Eunice Yoakum, of Savannah, TN; sister, Carolyn Goodman, of Savannah; daughter, Shari (Barry) Littlejohn, of Cadiz, KY; stepdaughter, Donette (Phil) Satterfield, of Signal Mountain; stepsons, Larry (Inge) McAllister, of Miami, FL, and Scott McAllister, of Signal Mountain; and five grandchildren, Rachel Littlejohn, Alex and Jordan Satterfield, Jeffrey McAllister and Christopher McAllister, of Fort Polk, LA.
Services were at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8 at Christ United Methodist Church.
The family received friends from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Valley View Chapel.
