Esibyl Marie (Arbuckle) Bee

BOONVILLE — Born October 14, 1910, to Rosa and E. Thelbert Arbuckle, Esibyl Marie Arbuckle Bee ended her life’s journey at sunrise on Sunday, March 6, 2005.
“Sib” retired from Warrick County School Corporation and had also formerly worked at Scales Drug Store and Townhouse Restaurant. She also was a former officer for the Republican Headquarters in Warrick County and a member of the Eastern Star. Her volunteer efforts included PTA president Winslow High School, Winslow High School Band Boosters, volunteer cafeteria worker at Winslow High School. She was a member of the Christian Church in Boonville, as well as the Boonville Saddle Club and Warrick Promenaders (square dancers). An avid basketball fan, she faithfully cheered on IU’s Hoosiers in the NCAA and Chicago Bulls in the NBA. But above all of this, her family was her center and made her life worth living.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Rosa Arbuckle, her father, E. Thelbert “ET” Arbuckle, two brothers, C.B. “Bud” Arbuckle and Bob Arbuckle, three sisters, Opal Glenn Buchanan, Elizabeth “Sis” Owings-Bechtel, and Hester Hazel “Het” Franklin.
This well respected and unconditionally loved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt and cousin leaves behind the following cherished family members, three daughters, Jacqueline “Jackie” Finch and her husband, Charles of Evansville, Cynthia Postin and her husband, Shelby of Boonville, and Judith “Judy” Eifler and her husband, Jim also of Boonville; grandchildren, Michael “Mike” Finch and Cathy Finch, both of Evansville, Steven Postin and his wife, Tami of Tennyson, Shelley Moran of Boonville, Mark Postin and his wife, Jerelene of Boonville, Martin Postin and his wife, Kelly of Boonville, Tammi Forston and her husband, Danny of Boonville; great-grandchildren, Charles “Gabe” Finch and his wife, Cathy of Marion, Iowa, Carey Postin and his wife, Dee of Tennyson, Jara Bradham and her husband, Chris of Boonville, Kara Scott and her husband, Kris of Wahaiwa, Hawaii, Zachary, Elizabeth, Sarah and Sam Postin, all of Boonville, and Hunter Postin, Danny Trail and Brianna Trail, all of Boonville; great-great-grandchildren, Jodee Marie Postin of Tennyson, Whitley Warren, Callyn Bradham and Aaron Bradham, all of Boonville. Also surviving are two special nephews, Jack Kinman and his wife, Marylou and William G. Franklin and his wife, Betty, as well as a special niece, Rosemary Weathers, all of Petersburg; and several other nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her throughout the country. She also had guardian angels, Karen Daniels of Boonville, Frances Bell of Boonville, Thelma Wilder of Boonville, Marilyn Herren of Newburgh and Tami Postin of Tennyson, who provided tender loving care to her 24 hours a day while she was in the nursing facility.
Graveside services were held on Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville at 2 p.m., the Rev. R.R. Schwambach officiated the service. There was no public visitation prior to the graveside service in Maple Grove Cemetery. Koehler Funeral Home in Boonville handled all funeral arrangements.
Memorial contributions can be made to either Bethel Temple Community Church Bible Fellowship Class or the First Christian Church in Boonville.
