Judy Lee (Young) Foust, 73, died at 3:00 a.m. Friday, August 1, 2014 at her home in Campbelltown after a 7 ½ year war with melanoma cancer.
She was born April 23, 1941 in Winslow to Prentice and Virginia Young.
On August 18, 1962, almost 52 years ago, she married Alfred W. (Al) Foust in Patoka Grove Church and he survives with their sons, Joel (Kim), of Bloomington, and Jonathon (Darby) of Shelby, NC, ; grandchildren, Bailey, Samuel, Gabriel, and Logan Foust; a brother, Gary Young of Enos Corner; a nephew, Kary Young of Oakland City; one niece, Mari Schwarz of Petersburg; one aunt, Ruth Miller of Wabash; and several cousins and in-laws.
Judy graduated from Winslow High School, Oakland City College, and earned a master’s degree from the University of Arkansas in education and art. She taught in Michigan, Arkansas, Texas and Indiana.
She was a member of Main Street Presbyterian Church and both the Pike County Historical Society and the Pike County Genealogical Society. She was very supportive of the creation of the Pike County History Center.
She was always a very creative person, not only in arts and crafts, but as a seamstress. She loved gardening with both flowers and vegetables.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. (with a musical prelude beginning at 1:15 p.m.) Saturday, August 9, 2014, at Main Street Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Boyd Heldring officiating. Visitation with the family will follow in Kiefer Hall at the church. Internment in Williams Cemetery will follow later in the evening.

Curtis Funeral Home in Winslow will be in charge of the arrangements.
