Janice (Wood) Hriso, 80, of Evansville passed away Tuesday January 5, 2016 at the Evansville Protestant Home. She was born November 2, 1935 to the late John and Lucille Wood of Winslow, IN. She graduated from Winslow High School in 1954. Janice met her surviving husband, Joseph while working at Mead Johnson. They married 53 years ago and had three sons, Bryan Douglas, David Paul and Peter Michael who survive her along with Peter’s wife Gigi and his son, John Michael. She is also survived by two brothers, John (Charlene) of Melbourne, FL and James of Otwell, IN. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her brother, Joseph and his twin sister, Joanne at nine months. Janice retired from the U.S. Government, working for the Air Force in a civilian capacity. Upon retiring, she enjoyed reading, playing bridge, doing crossword puzzles and traveling to casinos. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 pm Friday January 8, 2016 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville, IN 47714. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 am Saturday January 9, 2016 at the funeral home and will continue with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am at St. Benedict Cathedral, 1328 Lincoln Ave., Evansville, IN 47714. Entombment will be at St. Joseph Mausoleum.
