Clester F. McQueen, 75, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Deaconnes Gateway Hospital.
He was born June 27, 1935 in Pike County to James B. and Earline (Dawson) McQueen. He was retired, fomerly working at Chrysler in Evansville, also as an iron worker, as a coal miner for both Amex and Old Ben. He was also a master mechanic and worked as a consultant in dragline erection for Martin Marrietta. He had resided in Evansville for the past 35 years.
Survivors include his wife, Carol A. (Biggs) McQueen; six daughters, Lana Kington of Manitou, KY, Nancy Branham of Evansville, IN, Sarah Titzer of Orlando, Florida, Brenda Ennis of Coinjock, NC, Carla Dixon of Murfreesboro, TN and Leah Musser of Newburg, IN; 11 grand-children; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Louise Moore of Ashland, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles E. McQueen.
Graveside services were at 10:30 a.m. CDT Friday, July 30, 2010 at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg, IN with Rev. Tom Deen officiating, with burial following. There was no visitation. Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City, IN was in charge of arrangements.
